Ciao!
So I finally did it, I gave in to peer pressure. OK so maybe it wasn’t exactly peer pressure, just looking around at everyone else’s monitors at work and seeing Facebook. So I joined … about 3 months ago.
And did nothing. I didn’t know anyone (or so I thought), and I didn’t want to add my co-workers – I see them 8 hours every day anyway. So I did nothing.
Then Dwight (a former co-worker at creativePOST) added me. I thought …hmmm who else might have this, so I thought of web savvy former co-workers – found one! Added him, saw he was a member of an alumni for my College (Canadore) so I joined the group and within hours I had two former classmates as “friends”.
My Facebook journey was now well underway. Then I thought of others and added them and so and so on.
It’s been a great journey so far, I am having a blast finding old friends and touching base. But unlike my foray into MySpace, these are real people, people I have a past with. I intend to keep in touch with my Facebook friends on a very regular basis. I’ll never have hundreds or thousands of “friends”, I’m keeping it real and keeping it small.
So basically if I’ve added you , you are a select group!
Enjoy.

With little fanfare I rolled out my latest video blog / videozine this past weekend. Dedicated to all of us crazies who love and own (or are owned by) retired racing greyhounds I have launched greytlife.videozine.ca .
So far I have put up some of my own videos. I have a few others I am going to put up and then I will put up Liz talking about tips for adopting greys, training greys and owning greys. I’ll be bringing my camcorder to the local dog park on weekends and talking with other grey owners about their dogs and attending grey events in my area. I will be writing some articles about Greys too.
Finally a videoblog/videozine about a topic I won’t lose interest in … Greyhounds. This is putting my skills as a video shooter/editor and web person to good use.
I hope you’ll check it out.
